Job Description

Eastern Iowa Health Center is seeking a full-time Operations Manager for our Women’s Health Clinic dedicated to serving the needs of our neighbors and the greater Cedar Rapids community.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

As a vital member of the EIHC team, this role will recognize and promote the cultural diversity of the patients we serve and the people we work with.

• Facilitate team member success and ensure smooth daily operations through efficient guidance towards established goals.
• Display and promote compliance with all HIPAA laws and all safety and health rules and regulations applicable to functions and services of the clinic.
• Acquire and maintain knowledge on 340B Program and other patient assistant programs including vouchers, vaccinations, and outcomes.
• Collaborate with leadership to develop and maintain policy and protocols that maximize quality patient care and efficient use of clinician resources.
• Serve as communications liaison between patients, clinicians, and ancillary personnel and collaborate with leadership to resolve operational, patient, and staff issues.
• Collaborate with leadership to establish, manage, and apply clinician schedules and corresponding templates.
• Collaborate with Facilities and Grounds Coordinator to ensure proper functioning and timely repairs of all office and medical equipment.
• Collaborate with team members to facilitate emergency drills and preparedness (fire, tornado, and active shooter).
• Maintain general knowledge of grants and assist with grant management when needed.
• Participates in assigned committees.
• Establish a comprehensive understanding of the roles and responsibilities of each position within the clinical team.
• Manages time of service collections and weekly bank deposits.

ANCILLARY DUTIES

• Ensure employees understand and embrace the cultural diversity of our patients and coworkers.
• Ensures employees have the tools necessary to address complex and/or high risk patient populations while assisting in solving problems related to the welfare of the patient.
• Ensure employees maintain professionalism, organizational values, and adhere to employee handbook.
• Complete staff annual evaluations and performs coaching/disciplinary actions as appropriate.
• Works with Human Resources to ensure all required documentation is complete, timely, and accurate for provider re-privileging.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Associates Degree in a healthcare or business-related field required.
• 3-5 years clinical or administrative experience in a healthcare setting required.
• Proficiency with Electronic Health Records systems required.
• Previous leadership experience required.
