Role Overview

Eclipse Automation Southeast is seeking a Human Resource Manager to join our growing Team in Rock Hill, reporting to the HR Manager, North America, the Human Resource Manager, US is responsible for the implementation and execution of all HR related programs and initiatives to support US operations at Eclipse Automation.

They will provide HR support to the leadership team and employees, while also working to develop, implement and regulate US specific HR policies in support of the goals, objectives of the US business units. This position will work within the full scope of an HR professional, undertaking activities including employee relations, performance management, regulatory and legal compliance, policy administration, recruitment, and employee training and development, while delivering the Eclipse Vision and Eclipse Entrepreneurial Culture.

The HR Manager’s job responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

• Provide on-site support in all US business units by administering and providing guidance guidance to management and staff regarding all areas of human resources
• Anticipate and understand the needs of the business units and prioritize efforts accordingly
• Work with full HR team on continuous process improvement in the areas of staffing, compensation, benefits, training, employee relations, organizational structure and compliance
• Ensure a proactive approach to progressive HR programs, processes and policies and implement relevant sustainable changes when required.
• Administer and manage the full scope of the US employee benefits program, including enrolments, audits, disability claims management, life event updates, and reporting as needed.
• Work closely with US payroll function to ensure the accuracy of data
• Implement and maintain HR calendar for all important deadlines and annual events (EEO reporting, ACA, etc.)
• Work with Canadian HR Business Partner peers to lead organizational design and change management initiatives, improve operational effectiveness and maintain a high-performing, diverse and engaged workforce
• Build effective business relationships within the partnering unit to understand their operational people needs
• Lead employee onboarding initiatives for US employees
• Initiate and administer employee events and programs such as service recognition, employee recognition etc.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable employment laws
• Work collaboratively with other HR colleagues to support projects and needs of other business units
• Lead investigations of complaints and participate in the resolution of issues
• Work with local Managers to determine appropriate corrective action, conflict resolution and performance management techniques for employees
• Provide coaching and guidance to leadership team to help grow the capacity for culture changes
• Actively seek feedback and make recommendations regarding employee engagement to establish a positive employer-employee relationship.
• Adjust methods of interaction and flexible communication to meet the needs of on-site shop floor team
• Ensure employee files are properly maintained and records are kept up to date
• Act as the US HR subject matter expert within the North American HR function on department-wide initiatives
• Actively ensure HRIS is kept up to date by doing regular entries to update employee status and inform payroll
• Use HRIS system for reporting metrics by ensuring accurate data to make informed business decisions
• Regularly report to HR Manager, North America on the needs of the US business units
• All other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Has successfully completed a university degree or college diploma, preferably in Human Resources
• SHRM designation or working towards SHRM is an asset
• 5-8 years of experience in Human Resources role with increasing responsibilities
• 2-3 years of experience as the sole HR professional in an organization
• Must have proven experience administering all aspects of employee benefits program
• Experience in a manufacturing or automation industry is desired
• Extensive knowledge of Human Resources related Laws and Policies
• Use of Ceridian Dayforce HRIS is an asset
• Expectation of travel to other Eclipse locations is 20-25% of time, however may be exceeded in exceptional circumstances to meet organizational needs.
• Travel to other US locations to provide on-site support as needed, multiple times a year
• Must be able to travel internationally to attend on-site training and meetings at Eclipse Canada location twice annually as needed
