Position: Human Resource Coordinator
Edenbrook Oshkosh is a 110-bed skilled nursing and rehabilitation center located in Oshkosh, WI. We are looking to hire a Human Resources Coordinator to undertake a variety of HR duties. Under the direction of the Nursing Home Administration, the HR Coordinator is responsible for overall employee service functions in the facility including, but not limited to, nursing staff scheduling, employee relations, personnel records, employee benefits, and central supplies for nursing department.
This position is ideal for individuals who have Scheduling and/or Human Resources experience. We are open to candidates who have the following backgrounds: HR Assistant, Staffing Coordinator, Scheduling Assistant, Human Resources internships or have recently graduated from university.
Education, Experience, and Licensure Requirements
· High school diploma or general education degree (GED) AND one-year related experience.
· 1+ years of previous HR and/or scheduling experience preferred.
· Experience in Healthcare or long-term care setting preferred.
· Ability to communicate well in both verbal and written forms.
Essential Functions:
– Collects and fills supply requisitions and delivers to the unit/floor.
– With supervisor’s approval, orders supplies from designated vendors.
– Receives supply shipments and routes packing slips to appropriate department heads.
– Maintains an organized and neat storage area and accurate inventory records.
– Utilizes On-Shift scheduling Software to create master schedule templates, at least two weeks prior to schedule start.
– Ensures adequate and appropriate staffing of the facility nursing department to meet the needs of the residents based on budget, census, DHS requirements, and other factors. Notifies Director of Nursing (DON) of staffing challenges and time off requests.
– Works with Director of Nursing Services when scheduling modified work duty employees in accordance with work restrictions and facility policy.
– Answers employee calls regarding scheduling issues and prepares written correspondence as necessary. Maintains a current listing of employees to contact replacement personnel and modifies schedules as required.
– Maintains a record of employees that miss shifts and produces reports while using this information to track attendance for all staff members.
– Coordinates or conducts exit interviews to determine reasons behind separation.
– Assists in the hiring and onboarding of new CNAs and Nurses on an as needed basis; communicates regularly with the DON, NHA, HR Director and Regional Recruitment Liaison.
– Assists with benefits administration, employee relations, and ensuring that nursing department certifications and licenses remain active.
– Other duties as assigned by Director of Human Resources.

· Able to sit, stand, bend, lift, push, pull, stoop, walk, reach, and move intermittently during working hours.
