Job Description
Salary Range: 25-45$ per hour commensurate with experience

The Egg Collective Lead Finisher is a skilled individual proficient in fine finishing techniques. This individual is self-motivating, but enjoys working as part of a team. Lead Finisher will take ownership in building a cohesive and efficient team while making decisions consistent with the Egg Collective brand. Reporting to the Egg Collective Head of Production, the Lead Finisher will, in addition to personnel management, strategize how to streamline processes and work flow within their team and throughout the shop.
LEAD
Manage Finishing Assistant’s daily schedule; keep team on track for the day.
Lead by example to share the knowledge of how all furniture is prepped while continuing to maintain own finishing schedule; Provide practical training and skill sharing where necessary.
Work with Head of Production to manage schedule and disseminate deadlines and information to Finishing Assistant and communicate frequently regarding status of project timelines.
Check and ensure all furniture is appropriately prepped for finishing by Finishing Assistant.
Effectively plan daily / weekly schedule not only to meet goals but for efficiency in material usage and time management in mind.
Motivate team member to work with efficiency in mind and within instructed timeframes.
Oversee cleaning and maintenance of finishing area.
Oversee finish deliveries, making sure boxes are broken down and supplies noted and stored.
FINISHER
Finish furniture according to Egg Standards.
Maintain a working knowledge of all Egg Collective standard coatings including dry times, re-coating time frame, mixing ratios and compatibilities.
Keep log of Egg finishing standards.
Continue to develop standard practices for production in effort to streamline work flow.
Maintain quality control of pieces as they move through the finishing process.
Carefully handle and ask for assistance as needed to lift, hold, and move pieces at all stages in the finishing process.
Self motivate to execute finishing process in timeframe instructed by Head of Production.
Communicate any finishing issues or delays with Head of Production.
Log hours with Harvest Time App daily with as much accuracy as possible.
Keep finishing area clean and organized (storage shelves, keep carts free and available).
Maintain spray booth including intake/outtake filter and floor paper replacement.
Keep the finishing area swept and clean.
Gather finishing debris and empty trash container as necessary.
Maintain a log of in house supplies with general knowledge of quantity on hand.
Review production schedule and report weekly needs to Head of Production.
Maintain working knowledge of equipment including but not limited to Kremlin and various spray guns.
Maintain C-30 Certificate of Fitness for the Supervision of Flammable and Combustible Finishing Operations.
* Candidates must be able to reach, bend and lift up to 100lbs.
