Current Vacancy Information:
There is one (1) vacancy with the Department of Emergency Management. This position serves as the Department Public Information Officer (PIO). Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
Special Work Requirements: Subject to call 24-hours a day for emergencies.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENT:
Equivalent to graduation from a regionally-accredited college or university with major work in public administration, business administration or a related field.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT:
Four years of responsible professional (post-bachelor’s degree, non-clerical) experience in the development, coordination, and conduct of public information and education programs which required the knowledge of: the principles and practices of dissemination and coordination of public information and emergency public information, principles and techniques of disseminating information to large and diverse groups of people; establishing working relationships with print and broadcast media; establishing and coordinating a joint information system.
