Your Role:

The HR Generalist (“HRG”) is an essential partner to our Center of Excellence team (COE) and provides essential guidance. The HRG provides support to execute performance management processes, people development programs, and related areas of HR. The successful candidate must foster work collaboratively on teams, and consult effectively and independently with all levels of the organization. The Sr. HR Generalist role is an effective training ground for those that would like to flex into an HR Business Partner role or go deeper into HR programs and processes.

Responsibilities:

• Support daily HR tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including performance and talent management, succession plan, disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
• Researching appropriate resources to meet local training and development needs for staff and implementing training solutions with the Human Resources Director.
• Coordinating orientation schedules of staff new hires and leading orientation for all new hires. Developing programs within the office to facilitate new employee integration during the first year of employment to meet the Company objectives for new hire retention.
• Researching appropriate resources to meet local training and development needs for staff and implementing training solutions with the Talent Management Director.
• Review, track, and document compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments. This may include safety training, anti-harassment training.
• Support performance management process and creates learning and development programs and initiatives that provide internal development opportunities for employees.
• Implement employee recognition programs.
• Attend and participate in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
• Use data analyses to guide recommended actions
• Performs other duties as needed.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field.
• 3+ years’ progressive experience in one or more functional areas of Human Resources Generalist experience
• Thorough knowledge of California employment-related laws and regulations
• Detail Oriented, Excellent communicator (both orally and written)
• Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Ability to multitask and work well in the high-pressured environment.
• Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization’s HRIS and talent management systems.
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) including Outlook.

Preferred Qualifications:

• PHR certification
• Automotive, and/or technology experience
• A genuine fascination for the EV space and a commitment to global change
