*1.0 FTE is Full-Time, any position less than 1.0 FTE is Part-Time, and .001 FTE is Optional Part-Time*
*Positions with an “FTE” (full time equivalency) of .8 – 1.0 are eligible for full-time medical, dental and vision benefits. Positions with an “FTE” of .5 – .799 are eligible for part-time pro-rated medical, dental and vision benefits*
Shift: Shift 4
Every Saturday and Sunday, 6:30 AM-6:30 PM along with one Tuesday per month, 2:00 PM-10:00 PM. Weekend Program differential applies!
Summary:
Performs MRI studies under the direction of a radiologist and oversight of a senior MRI Technologist. This individual interacts with imaging staff, nursing, physicians, patients and visitors. Acts as a resource person for MRI technical, and other issues, and demonstrates competence according to specific guidelines and prescribed protocols. Operates MRI and related equipment, prepares scan room – equipment, supplies and medications. This individual also maintains images and archives associated with patient data. Other duties as assigned.
Responsibilities:
One to three years of experience is preferred. Graduate of an JCERT approved two-year radiologic technology program is required.
Two or four year college degree in radiologic technology, healthcare, business or other related degree is preferred. ARRT registered is required. Advanced certification through ARRT in ARRT-MR is required within 18 months of hire. SITE SPECIFIC: .For those sites requiring advanced certification in MRI & CT, MR must be achieved within the first 18 months. CT certification must be achieved within 30 months of hire date. BCLS certified within 90 days of hire date. State of WI license in Radiologic Technology if incumbent performs CT, general radiography or any other imaging using ionizing radiation; if practice is limited to MRI and/or Ultrasound, no state license is required.
Other information:
Successful completion of a cross-sectional anatomy class is required. Ability and demonstrated competence in IV insertion and contrast injection; ability to assimilate new procedures into work routine is required.
