The HR Business Partner (HRBP) will manage the daily operations of the HR department and will work closely with the Fullsteam acquisition companies, M&A Team, Divisional Group President, Payroll Team, HR Manager and HR Director. The HRBP will provide back-office human resource services/support with recruitment, onboarding, regulatory compliance, HRIS, M&A, employee relations and benefits.
RESPONSIBILITIES
HRIS Management
Works with HRIS Manager to implement and maintain HRIS platform for record keeping/reporting, benefits administration, advance compensation, and talent management. Provides input to HRIS security, develops controls and conducts periodic audits, upon request, to maintain data integrity. Provides input for user-friendly processes, guidelines, and documentation. Will serve as tier 1 support and troubleshoot user or account related issues and escalates to HRIS dept, when needed. Develops, prepares, and analyzes ad-hoc reports as needed and works closely with Group Divisional President and Accounting/Finance business partner to monitor and forecast personnel expenses.
Employee Relations
Counsels and partners with field company administrators on employee matters such as performance management, employee engagement, disciplinary matters, performance improvement plans (PIPs), and conflict resolution. Conducts various engagement surveys, stay and exit interviews, summarizes findings, and discusses trends, concerns, and HR/Operational solutions with HR Leadership, Divisional Group President, and field administration.
Benefits Admin and Management
Coordinates and administers employee benefit plans while serving as contact support with group health and retirement plan vendors. Provides input and coordinates benefit communication materials and vehicles. Serves as employee advocate for claim resolutions in partnership with Health Advocate and Fullsteams brokerage firm. Assists with administration of 401k plan, COBRA, ACA and FMLA/ADA admin operations.
Recruitment, Onboarding, & Compliance
Establishes and administers recruitment requisitions, job postings, and onboarding procedures including employment eligibility and background screenings. Ensures the organization meets all regulatory requirements related to hiring, terminations, EEOC and other record keeping mandates. Maintains and expands knowledge and understanding of existing and proposed federal and state laws/regulations affecting human resource management. Interprets appropriate laws and policies and advises management accordingly.
M&A
Support and drive critical work stream activities for mergers and acquisitions, due diligence, integration planning and execution. Own and manage sensitive employee demographic and compensation data through all phases of the acquisition. Set up and maintain project risk and issue logs, assist with identifying risks or issues and mitigation measures, while keeping the project on track. Contribute to HR due diligence reports and make recommendations based on findings. Provide support to HR functional teams to ensure a smooth integration process that adheres to established policies, procedures and playbooks. Organize key project meetings, maintain deal-specific project plans and connect with appropriate HR Community constituents to ensure timely progress updates are provided and accurately reported on. Gather and analyze vast amounts of information expeditiously, identify insights and make recommendations as appropriate. Proactively identify process inefficiencies and collaborate cross-functionally to drive improvements. Assists in assimilating new portfolio companies to Fullsteam HRIS and policies. Change management influencer to acquired company.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field with 2+ years of Generalist experience or 4+ years of progressive Human Resources experience. Master’s degree a plus. Experience implementing and managing HRIS platforms preferred. Knowledge of multi-state labor laws a plus. Labor/employee relations and benefits management experience a plus. Canadian Employment law experience a plus. SHRM CP/SCP or PHR/SPHR certification a plus.
SKILLS
Strong analytical, interpersonal skills and communication skills. Advanced Excel skills (including VLOOKUP and Pivot Tables), HRIS, Word and PowerPoint. Detailed oriented while focusing on big picture results. Strong project management, planning and risk management skills. Total Rewards and Benefits Administration experienced a plus.
Highly organized, thrives in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and evolving demands of the business. Ability to manage changes in workload, tight deadlines and rapidly shifting priorities. Ability to absorb and process large quantities of disparate information and synthesize quickly.

This position is 100% remote. The candidate would need to have a suitable work environment set up as their home office and be comfortable managing their own schedule in a non-corporate office environment.
