Responsibilities:
Records employee information such as personal data, compensation, tax data, attendance, termination date and reason
Updates employee files to document personnel actions and to provide other pertinent information with regards to employee personnel files
Examines employee files to answer inquiries and provides information to authorized persons
Compiles data from personnel information for reports
Prepares all paper work for new hire employee
Schedule applicants, coordinate interviews and maintain application flow data
Answers basic inquiries from employees to refer the employee on to HR Generalist or HR Manager for further assistance
Answer telephones within the HR office
Adhere to Company attendance, punctuality, and meal and rest break requirements
Maintain concentration and focus in order to meet performance goals
React positively to an ongoing, changing environment
Demonstrate the ability to handle pressure when attempting to meet deadlines and performance goals
Maintain good working relationship with assigned supervisors and coworkers
Work safely without presenting a threat to self or others
Perform additional duties as required by management from time to time
Qualifications:
Education:
High School Diploma or GED is required
Experience:
No experience necessary; prefer 6 months of human resources experience
Computer Experience:
Must be able to type quickly and accurately, use a mouse effectively, and have a basic understanding of Windows-based operating systems.
Skills & Abilities:
Must be able to maintain the highly confidential nature of administrative/human resources work
Must be able to establish and maintain effective working relationships with supervising personnel, co-workers and subordinates
Have the ability to project and convey a positive, concerned, and professional image to applicants and employees
Have the ability to take sufficient notes at a meeting to prepare accurate records of events
Be able to handle a large number of administrative duties while maintaining a well-organized work area
Write in a clear and concise manner
Manage time effectively
Solve problems or issues that may come up
Concentrate and focus for extended periods of time
Cope with high-stress and changing environment
Remain alert at all times
Adhere to policies and procedures
Adhere to work schedule and punctuality requirements
