The HR Consultant position facilitates and coordinates application of human resources policies and procedures for assigned campus unit(s). Coordinate implementation of new or revised human resources policies and programs within unit(s). This position will interact on a consistent basis with: unit management and staff, Talent Management Department (TMD), and Office of Human Resources (OHR) management and staff. This position typically will advise and counsel: unit management and staff
Responsibilities
Job Duty 1 – Advise and assist unit management in application of human resources policies and procedures.
Job Duty 2 – Review and coordinate processing of transactions to initiate Human Resources Information System (HRIS) related to onboarding of new hires, offboarding, terminations, pay actions, promotions, data changes, etc.
Job Duty 3 – Consult regularly with HR Consultant Sr. on all HR actions.
Job Duty 4 – Coordinate and facilitate processing of formal employee relations issues, investigations, disciplinary actions and terminations in consultations with Employee Relations.
Job Duty 5 – Perform other duties as necessary.
Required Qualifications
Educational Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business or a related field and four to six years of job related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Other Required Qualifications
Overnight travel requsultanted for project delivery; flexibility in on-site daily service delivery hours (due to client shift schedules, project requsultantements).
Required Experience
Four to six years of job related experience

SKILLS
This job requires professional level generalist knowledge of human resources administrative practices including those related to recruitment/staffing, compensation/benefits, employee relations, performance management, training and workforce planning. Skill in the use of office computer applications and HRMS databases is required.
