Departmental Overview
As part of our dynamic U.S. organization, our Domestic Logistics team plays a vital role in bridging the gap between our service providers and customers. We handle domestic drayage, FTL, and LTL moves, as well as cater to U.S.-based warehousing needs. By delivering exceptional service and ensuring customer requirements are met, our team significantly impacts regional performance.
Job Summary
We are seeking a talented and motivated Domestic Logistics Manager to oversee our domestic logistics operations. In this role, you will collaborate with service providers, fulfill customer requirements, execute contracts, and contribute to the growth of our network. With a focus on customer satisfaction and business opportunities, you will be an integral part of our team.
Responsibilities
Understand customer requirements for domestic logistics services and coordinate with service providers to meet those requirements.
Establish and maintain a robust network of domestic logistics service providers.
Supervise service providers to ensure compliance with customer requirements and contractual obligations.
Manage contracts with service providers and customers.
Approve service provider invoices and oversee invoicing to customers.
Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to provide insights on domestic logistics, enabling new business opportunities.
Monitor receivables and contribute to collection efforts.
Qualifications
Minimum of 5 years of industry-related experience or transferrable skills.
Familiarity with regulatory requirements for FMCSA truck broker and forwarder.
Knowledge of truck brokerage and warehouse operations, including pricing strategies.
Proven experience in developing service provider networks.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact across different organizational levels.
Self-motivated and driven, with a track record of achieving and exceeding goals.
Strong problem-solving abilities coupled with innovative thinking.
Preferred Skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Suite.
Strong negotiation and contract drafting skills.
