Job Summary
The HR Business Partner implements HR solutions that enable the business to achieve its objectives. The HRBP consults, executes, and monitors HR strategies and programs, including performance management, talent management, workforce planning, leadership development, and career development. The HRBP works closely with site leaders and brokers the services of the People Services Organization (PSO) team to deliver high quality solutions. He or she provides guidance and coaching to other HR staff.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities (not restrictive)
Consults with business leaders to diagnose current and future HR needs and develop a strategy for resolution.
Collaborates with the PSO team to implement and monitor HR solutions, strategy, and company branding.
Leads and supports the implementation of HR strategies, objectives, and processes to align with the overall function/business strategy and the HR strategy.
Works with the function/business on people/workforce strategies, helping develop high potential talent and supporting a high-performance culture.
Consult with business leaders to identify future leadership talent building out both development and succession plans.
Able to balance “lead” role/face of HR with the business/function while at the same time ensuring HR specialists have direct engagement and support.
Directly supports the business/function leader(s) with advice and counsel, seen as a “trusted advisor” specifically being able to objectively assess, influence and push back when necessary.
Brings dashboards and metrics to the conversation and applies data judgment to drive recommendations.
Ultimately responsible to the business for quality and performance of all HR services provided.
Able to run and analyze reports, building out a strategy and/or approach to assist business leaders.
Partners with leaders on employee relation issues, including recommendations for investigations, progressive discipline and performance improvement plans, and terminations.
Regular, in-person attendance and participation in designated department meetings (DRM, Leadership) as evidenced by being considered an integral part of the team.
Ensures compliance on company policies as well as compliance with federal, state and local regulations.
Responds to EEOC and DOL inquiries and charges.
Provides coaching and development to department leaders.
Drive culture to integrate Glanbia values in all aspects of the business.
Additional Functions
Perform other duties as assigned.
Ensure after hours response in the event of plant outage and emergencies.

Qualification & Experience Requirements
Education, Training:
Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Human Resources Management.
5 – 7 years HR generalist experience, HR Specialty or other business-related experience.
Manufacturing or shift worker HR experience required; multi-site experience preferred.

Able to manage highly sensitive matters; maintain confidentiality and objectivity.

Experience with mergers/acquisitions and integration of systems and culture preferred.
Professional HR certification preferred.
Language, Computer & Numeracy:
Knowledge of software applications in OneNote, PowerPoint presentation, Excel Spreadsheets and MSWord Processing
Ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, sampling theory, and factor analysis.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
Travel Requirements
Minimal overnight travel (up to 10%) by land and/or air.
