Job Description:
Seneca Global Services is seeking a highly motivated Administrative Officer to support our Department of the Army client in Falls Church, VA. This position supports the Office of The Army Surgeon General (OSTG) Programming Analysis and Evaluation (PA&E) Division by managing and supporting all administrative matters including human resources actions, task tracking, coordinating critical action items, and interfacing directly with senior leaders.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Daily maintenance of programs, actions, trackers and logs for PA&E.
Track and provide recurring and ad hoc updates of actions across the operational area as directed.
Performs routine clerical and administrative duties to include organization of files, document preparation, document tracking, appointment scheduling, and other support functions as directed.
Manage the Office Outlook Calendar synchronizing major meetings, appointments, and engagements.
Provide support to the team via IT systems / programs such as Automated Time Attendance and Production System (ATAAPS), the Civilian Telework Program, Defense Civilian Personnel Data System (DCPDS), AutoNOA, Space/Facility Management, Staff Action Control, and Defense Travel System.
Assist with standard human resources functions for the divisions such as onboarding, in-out processing, retirements, sponsorship, award and evaluation tracking, etc.
Performs Civ Pay and TDY cost updates when requested.
Supports Government Travel Charge Card Program (GTCC).
Support personnel actions to include Accretion of duties Packets, Hiring Actions, MDR/Reassignment, PCS, PD Revisions, Resignations.
Develops Retention Bonus Packets.
Performs Employee Personnel Record reviews.
Performs other duties as assigned
Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university.
Experience in the DoD and MHS Health System environment or relevant experience in the corporate environment.
Knowledge of a wide range of administrative and management concepts, policies, and practices.
Knowledge of the operating programs, projects, and tasks involved in acquiring human resources, training, travel, and funding.
Some knowledge of OPM, DoD, and DA personnel policies.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Project, etc.) is required.
Desired Qualifications:
Master’s Degree from an accredited university.
Previous experience in the Army Medical Department.
Experience in preparing White Papers, EXSUMs, CONOPS, Technical SOPs, Process Flow Methodology and SITREPs.
Experience with SharePoint.
Knowledge of OTSG/MEDCOM OneStaff mission and structure.
