The City of Stockton is seeking to fill three (3) vacancies of Grants Analyst. The positions will work with federal and state grant programs. One position (three year limited term) will work in Administrative Services on American Rescue Plan Act funding, a majority of the work is reporting, compliance and financial. The remaining two positions will work in the Economic Development Department. One Grants Analyst position will work under the Affordable Housing programs unit and the second position will work under the Homeless Strategic Initiatives unit (three year limited term).
Under general supervision, the Grants Analyst performs a variety of duties, within the respective specified units, including but not limited to grant monitoring; preparation of accounting, statistical, and narrative reports; research; compliance; budgeting; and coordinating grant activities with other departments, divisions, outside agencies.
The City of Stockton is seeking innovative, analytical, and technically proficient individuals with strong analytical skills, intermediate to advanced computer software skills (including but not limited to Word, Excel, Power Point, Adobe, etc.), and organizational abilities. The candidate must have the ability to communicate effectively (orally and in writing) and collaborate with a wide range of individuals. Experience with effective grant administration techniques, budgeting, contracting, and interpreting federal and state regulations is desired.
Incumbents in this position are covered under Civil Service and are represented by SCEA- Professional and Technical Services Bargaining Unit (Classified/Represented).
Prior to appointment, eligible candidates will be required to submit to and successfully pass a background investigation, which will include fingerprinting.
