Description
Works strategically to enhance and plan for the company’s financial strength through analysis, innovative ideas, cost-effective approaches, high quality budgeting and monitoring, accurate accounting, and useful reporting for decision-making and benchmarking.
Primary Responsibilities
- Maintains and balances daily bank account activity.
- Compiles and analyzes financial information to prepare entries to accounts, such as general ledger accounts, documenting business transactions.
- Prepares, examines, and analyzes accounting records, financial documents, or other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards.
- Preparation and maintenance of balance sheet reconciliations such as cash, accounts receivable, fixed assets, prepaid expenses and accruals including investigation into unusual fluctuations and unexpected activities.
- Assists in annual budgets, preparing periodic reports that compare budgeted costs to actual costs.
- Reviews and analyzes financial, sales, activity reports or other performance data to measure productivity and goal achievement or to identify areas needing cost reduction or process improvement.
- Assists with quarterly and year-end financial audit activities.
- Supports managers by contributing various projects.
- Protects organization’s value by keeping information confidential.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
- Minimum 1 year experience/Internship in Accounting.
- Demonstrate experience with process improvement, employee development, and creating proper policies, procedures, and internal controls.
- Experience with financial reporting requirements.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities across all levels of an organization.
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment.
