This position will report directly to the Controller and is located on-site in Green Bay.
Responsibilities:
Process union plant and coordinate office payroll for 6 Divisions throughout the US.
Read, interpret, and apply labor agreement for one unionized division. Administer payroll for 5 other, non-union plants.
Support the transition of payroll processing new company wide HRIS software (Lawson to UKG,) including the verification of data, update of process documentation and implementation of process improvements.
Review and analyze daily shift notes to verify compliance with union labor agreement, company policies, and accounting procedures.
Review, analyze, and update report data and ensure employee gross pay is accurately calculated.
Process, maintain, and track all plant attendance, including FMLA time off.
Prepare and distribute reports used for budget analysis and compliance with contract language.
Preform various tasks as directed by the Controller to provide backup and support for Accounting, Administrative and HR functions.
Duties will be apportioned to Payroll/Accounting (70%) and HR (30%), with room for growth in desired discipline.
Qualifications:
Minimum of an associate degree in accounting or business.
3+ years of Payroll/Human Resources experience.
Highly proficient in computer skills and technology.
Accurate and timely in data entry, along with strong attention to detail.
Strong analytical and mathematical aptitude, and knowledge of general payroll practices .
Must be able to organize work schedule, work independently, and be able to prioritize workload, especially during payroll weeks.
Ability to work in situations with strict deadlines.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with employees varying levels of seniority in a confidential manner.
Demonstrated ability to work well as part of a team.
