Position Summary:
We are looking for an experienced Bilingual HR Director who establishes positive and productive working relationships, can generate trust and has the willingness to give and receive honest, balanced feedback. The ideal candidate is bilingual in English and Mandarin with advanced knowledge of HR Compliance. Candidate should also have a proven track record of using good judgment, confidentiality and professionalism, strong interpersonal skills and have a highly collaborative work style. The Director of Human Resources leads the day-to-day needs of the Human Resources department in support of business objectives and company culture. The role is responsible for managing HR employees with ultimate responsibility for managing the functional workload and external vendor relationships involving benefits administration, payroll, regulatory compliance, recruitment, etc. Our ideal candidate is one who thrives in an entrepreneurial environment, is resourceful, hands on, and will foster Greenworks Tools company culture and core values (Open, Fair, Independent and Innovative).
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Required Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s Degree (PHR/SPHR or SHRM-SCP/CP preferred) and least 10+ years of progressive HR management experience, Minimum three (3) years of experience in Human Resources
· Bilingual in English and Mandarin Chinese is a MUST; proficient in conversational, reading and writing knowledge is preferred but not required.
· In-depth facets of HR including compensation & benefits, staffing & recruiting
· Regulatory compliance experience including thorough knowledge of EEOC and ERISA guidelines, as well as State & Federal employment law.
· Experience managing variable compensation and employee incentive plans, as well as administration of employer retirement plans.
· Manage complex employee relations issues, as well as negotiating with vendors, contractors and TPAs.
· Strong verbal and written communication skills
· Ability to effectively interact with all levels within the organization
· Problem solver with a positive attitude and ability to make appropriate decisions
· Demonstrated strong interpersonal and leadership skills
· Strong sense of business ethics including the ability to appropriately handle confidential information
· Candidate should have demonstrated ability to quickly and efficiently learn new processes.
