Payroll and Benefits Coordinator –
· Collecting timesheet data and payroll information.
· Entering data into payroll software and administrative databases.
· Calculating wages, benefits, tax deductions, commission, etc.
· Maintaining accurate records of payroll documentation and transactions.
· Responding to payroll related inquires and resolving concerns from employees.
· Preparing periodic payroll reports for review by management.
· Check payroll information for accuracy and ensure all relevant paperwork is in order.
· Performing account balances and payroll reconciliations.
· Preparing financial reports for accounting and auditing purposes (e.g., IRS)
· Process other financial compensation or deductions (e.g. annual bonuses, severance pay, taxes, worker’s compensation).
· Handle benefit expenses and ensure carrier invoice correctly.
· Processing benefit enrollments in a timely manner and accurately.
· Reviewing monthly payroll deductions.
· Resolving employee issues with benefits administrators and insurance providers
· Assisting employees in enrolling in dental, vision, and medical insurance plans at open enrollment and new employee eligibility.
· Providing new hires with explanations of benefits and instructing them on enrollment and fulfillment procedures.
· Consulting with employees about eligibility and other pertinent issues.
· Ensuring the company’s benefits policy is compliant with the set laws and regulations.
Skills and Qualifications
· Experience in an HR with over 50 employees
· Solid understanding of accounting fundamentals and payroll best practices
· Proficient in MS Office and good knowledge of payroll software and databases.
· Trustworthy with attention to confidentiality
· Outstanding organizational ability with great attention to detail
· Excellent communication skills
· BSC.BS in HR, Accounting or relevant fields is a plus
· Proven experience as a payroll coordinator or similar role
· Familiarity with payroll processes
· Intermediate or Expert Excel is a must
· NetSuite experience a plus
· 3-5 years job role experience
