The Senior Employee Relations Specialist will play a key role in the continuing development of the HR Operations team by providing guidance and support to all HR functional areas on a wide range of topics including the investigation of employee concerns, interpretation and development of policies and procedures, facilitation of training on key HR issues, and contributing to the development and implementation of HR processes & procedures in support of the business goals and HR strategy.

The Employee Relations Specialist is responsible for providing support and guidance on a broad spectrum of HR topics while developing and maintaining a consultative relationship with HR team members and business leaders across the organization.

What you will do:

• Provides consultation and support to management and HR Business Partners on human resources and employee relations topics including performance management, progressive coaching, and policy interpretation.
• Develops effective partnerships with all HR functional areas throughout the service delivery model (HRBPs, Talent Acquisition, Talent Management, Compensation, Benefits,) as well as key matrix partners (Legal, Operations, Compliance) to develop and implement solutions and initiatives.
• Responsible for managing and resolving HR concerns that are reported through the Speak Up portal.
• Conducts workplace investigations and works closely with the HR Business Partners and management to effectively resolve issues and concerns.
• Conducts internal audits and ensures compliance with various policies, laws, and regulations.
• Provides support and guidance for HR projects and initiatives related to process development and continuous improvement of the function.
• Assists in responding to formal charges, & lawsuits, etc. Works closely with matrix partners to ensure accurate and timely responses.
• Responsible for developing ER metrics and reporting in partnership with the HRIS team.
• Assists in the development and delivery of HR and ER-related training topics including ADA, Progressive Coaching, Accommodations, and others as needed.
• Stays current on employment laws and compliance issues
• Partners in the revision of existing HR Policies and the development of new policies and procedures.

What you bring:

• Bachelor’s degree required. PHR / SHRM-CP certification preferred or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum 5 years of Human Resource Generalists or Employee Relations experience managing complex situations, including workplace investigations.
• Strong understanding of human resources, employee relations, and employment law.
• Proven ability to build relationships and establish personal credibility at all levels of the organization.
• Demonstrated ability to multi-task, set priorities, manage multiple responsibilities, and deliver against deadlines.
• Strong consultative and interpersonal skills with experience dealing with all levels in an organization.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• High level of detail orientation with sound analytical, problem-solving, and negotiating skills as well as the ability to understand broad HR issues.
• Experience in conducting investigations in a multi-site, remote organization.
• Ability to utilize data and analytics to define and solve issues and concerns.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, i.e. Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook
