Position: Service Technician-Agriculture – Work in Zamora
The Service Technician assists the field team and growers to determine field application methods for fertilizer and pesticides.
What your day may look like
• Builds and installs equipment necessary for the grower to make field applications.
• Calibrates and maintains equipment for accurate application rates.
• Coordinates product deliveries based on rate acres and equipment to ensure adequate supply of product.
• Ensures that application method, equipment and rate are within label recommendation and crop parameters.
• Performs necessary maintenance and repair on service equipment.
• Other work-related duties as assigned by leader.
• Reliable and regular attendance is expected.
Education and experience needed for this position
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Class A CDL is required.
• Hazmat and tanker are preferred.
• Must pass a drug test and background check.
• Farming and/or application experience is preferred.
Other skills that will help you succeed
• Understanding of farming practices and equipment.
• Welding class.
• Mechanical skills.
• Ability to perform mathematical calculations.
• Pesticide safety training.
Your work environment and the physical aspects of the job

The work environment for this position may require the employee to work in an outdoor setting in all types of weather conditions with exposure to outdoor elements. When working outdoors and possibly around moving equipment/mechanical parts, the employee may be exposed to fumes, airborne particles, chemical and biological hazards, vibrations and a risk of electrical shock. This position requires you to use your hands for many different tasks and to talk, hear, walk, stand and sit.
You may be occasionally required to lift or move up to 100 pounds.
