Full Job Description
Insider Inc. is hiring a HR Business Partner to work with our tech & product teams.
The HR business partner’s primary focus will be partnering with and supporting an evolving ~200-person tech & product organization. We’re looking for someone who is ready to dig into how the tech & product team functions day to day to help leaders make it as effective as possible.
Our Product & Tech team spans the US and UK, centering around NYC and Belfast, Northern Ireland. The team owns, builds and maintains everything from the front end reader experience to the back end infrastructure and everything in between. This is a fast moving, fun team full of bright, talented people who strive to get better every day.
We’re looking for someone who is an excellent communicator, is organized, and has endless enthusiasm for the digital media space, for helping colleagues develop in their careers, and for making Insider an even better place to work. The ideal person has experience supporting business leaders in running a tech & product team, is tapped into HR best practices, and is dedicated to creating an inclusive culture where all employees feel like they can do their best work and develop in their careers.
The talent partner will have their eyes and ears on the ground, get to know the organization, and be keyed into opportunities and challenges as they arise. They will coach and advise Insider’s tech & product senior managers to become better leaders.
Responsibilities include:
- Partnering with tech & product leaders to nurture and retain the most effective teams in the business.
- Managing projects and initiatives across the company to develop and implement programs and services to increase employee engagement, retention and job satisfaction.
- Coaching managers and team members on giving feedback and people related matters
- Mediating employee relations issues
- On-boarding new hires and helping familiarize them with Insider
- Developing and facilitating performance management tools, conversations, and processes
- Working with a compensation analyst to make sure salary structures on the team are fair and competitive in the market
- Supporting company-wide learning and development initiatives
The ideal candidate will have:
- Impeccable communication and organization skills
- High EQ
- Comfort with managing and advising staff
- Experience designing and building policies, benefits programs, compensation plans, feedback systems, and training programs
- A basic understanding of federal and state level legal compliance requirements
- Experience supporting a team of developers and engineers in the digital media industry is a huge plus

Salary & Benefits:
- Salary: $140,000 – $160,000 (dependent on skills, experience, and competencies)
