What You Can Expect:
As a construction laborer, you will focus on installing insulation (fiberglass or rock wool batts) to exterior walls and ceilings. Your day-to-day “office” won’t always look the same! However, you can count on the process to provide some consistency:
- Review daily work orders and ensure all material, supplies and tools are loaded for the day and job
- Complete daily vehicle and job site inspections
- Install insulation efficiently according to work order, manufacturer and safety guidelines
- Track and log all material and supplies used
- Work with other contractors/trades to efficiently and safely complete work order
- Perform warehouse related duties as required
To Be Successful:
- Valid driver’s license clean from major infractions in the last three years
- Experience in the insulation and/or construction industry is helpful but not necessary
- Able to use common hand tools
- Able to work in tight and/or high areas
- Able to lift at least 50lbs
- Able to climb ladders and scaffolding
- Able to work indoors and out in a variety of temperatures
- Must be able to wear full-face or half mask during work shift
- Must be able to read job instructions and record materials to work order
For Your Safety:
- Use common hand tools
- Work in tight places including attics and crawlspaces
- Lift a minimum of 50lbs
- Climb ladders and scaffolding
- Able to bend, twist, and turn body at shoulders, waist, knees
- Stand for extended periods of time
