We’re known for making beautiful craft lagers under the Jack’s Abby Craft Lagers brand and fermentation forward beers under the Springdale Beer Co brand.
Jack’s Abby is seeking an energetic, organized, and collaborative individual to join our Business Operations team full time as HR Generalist! The HR Generalist will be responsible for maintaining good HR practices for the brewery’s departments/locations and provide first line HR support for the brewery. The ideal candidate will have 1-3 years experience in HR or a related field. Experience in the brewing and/or restaurant industries is a plus. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Training/Development: Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments. This may include safety training, anti-harassment training, professional licensure, and more.
• Recruitment: Recruits, interviews, and facilitates the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
• Culture & Engagement: Implements/steers company culture and employee recognition programs.
• Administration: Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
• Payroll/HCM Management: perform payroll on a biweekly basis and all related data entry. First point of contact for payroll and HCM related processes/questions.
• Communication: Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
• Employee Relations: Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
• Legal: Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
• Human Resources: Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
• Other projects/tasks as assigned.

Requirements:

• Experience with Payroll/HCM systems and related modules/processes-Mass Pay, Paylocity or ADP.
• 1-3 yrs mid-sized business HR Experience, preferred but not required.
• Strong understanding of HR fundamentals-Payroll, Benefits, Employee Relations, etc.
• Excellent with Microsoft office suite, Google apps.
• Ability to work in a collaborative environment and be an active team member.
• Strict attention to detail, strong organizational and communication skills.
• The ability to remain focused and prioritize in a bustling environment.
• Experience with the brewing and/or restaurant industries is a plus.
• Ability to remain calm under pressure.
• Good Conflict management and resolution skills.
• Maintains confidentiality in sensitive matters.
• Problem solver; ability to take initiative.
• Multilingual (Spanish, Portuguese, and/ or English) is a plus, but not required.
• Knowledge of the craft beer market/industry and appreciation of the culture that goes with it.
• Must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19.
