Responsibilities:
Training
Develops and/or prepares instructional material, curriculum, learning objectives, teaching aids and/or course materials for such areas as sexual harassment, guest service, new supervisor training, and coaching/counseling employees.
Conducts instructional sessions covering specified areas as defined and developed by Human Resources Department.
Demonstrates excellence and creativity in public speaking and presentation.
Models professionalism, seeks to motivate and inspire whenever possible.
Responsible for tracking, reporting and analysis of training participation and feedback.
Workplace Investigations
Facilitates investigations into all claims of workplace harassment.
Conducts confidential employment investigations in such areas as sexual harassment, hostile environment and/or discrimination.
Maintains investigation files and tracking system.
Communicates investigation outcomes and completes any resulting training and/or documentation.
Recognition & Services
Coordinates and prepares for all employee-related programs including employee recognition and awards as directed by the Employee Relations Manager.
Assists in the planning, assigning and rewarding of employees.
Delivers Years of Service award recognition for all employees to departments.
Assists employees with applications to access the employee crisis fund.
Retention
Assists in determining various methods to reduce turnover and increase retention.
Assists in the development of statistical reports indicating morale levels of employees and managers.
Responds to employee suggestions.
Assists with employee problem resolution and helps coordinate processes of responding to employee complaints.
Facilitates interviews of managers and employees to gather information on their responses to general factors that affect worker morale, motivation, and efficiency.
Facilitates meetings with management to discuss possible actions to be taken; assists with addressing complaints between managers and employees and resolves problems.
Assists in the development and implementation of programs, plans, policies and procedures for retention and employee recognition.
Conflict Resolution
Provides employee advocacy; must temper this action by knowing the spirit and intent of the Employee Handbook and the policies therein.
Facilitate conflict resolutions for employee disagreements, conflicts or misunderstandings when necessary.
Qualifications:
Working knowledge of Microsoft office, including Word and Excel.
Excellent communication skills (verbally interacts with guests, fellow employees, and management.
Must have strong oral presentation skills as well as excellent verbal and written communication skills.
The sucessful candidate will be an analytic, creative thinker with strong project management skills.
Minimum High School level education required, with a college education and previous Human Resources, Employee Relations and/or Training experience a plus.
Pay range: $57,700 to $75,000 per year
