Position Overview:
JFS is looking for a compassionate, mission-driven individual to join the Human Resources team as the HRIS Specialist. In this role, you have the opportunity to use your HR technology skills and experience to make a meaningful difference in your community and help change lives across San Diego. The HRIS Specialist plays an integral role on the team and supports the entire agency by managing all HR data and ensuring the optimized use of the HRIS platform and supporting HR technology for over 400 employees. This position reports directly to the Director of Human Resources and works closely with the Human Resources team.
JFS is in the early stages of implementation of a new HRIS platform (UKG Pro) and the HRIS Administrator will play a critical role in the success of the implementation project and ongoing system management.
Responsibilities:
Designs and maintain configurations of the HRIS platform, including testing and validation of business processes, security roles, reports, and system integrations
Uses knowledge and experience with a variety of human resources concepts, practices, and procedures to identify needs and create solutions to support the HR technology needs of the organization
Provides technical support, troubleshooting, and guidance to HRIS users
Collaborates with People and Culture leadership and staff to identify system improvements and enhancements, and recommends and implements solutions
Partners with the Technology Services team to ensure system compliance with data security and privacy requirements
Collaborate with the Learning & Development and Accounting teams to ensure data flows smoothly between systems
