Johnson & Johnson announced plans to separate our Consumer Health business to create a new publicly traded company. The process of the planned separation is anticipated to be completed within 24 months, and it will be subject to legal requirements including consultation with works councils and other employee representative bodies, as required, and other customary conditions and approvals.
It is anticipated that, following conclusion of the transaction, this position may be conveyed with New Consumer Health. In that case, details of any planned changes would be provided to the successful candidate by New Consumer Health at an appropriate time and would be subject to any necessary consultation processes.
Position Description:
The HR Communications Specialist as part of the Global Corporate Affairs function, will be responsible for the execution of global, enterprise HR communications strategies, programs, and messaging. In addition, this role will have responsibility for driving high impact communications that strengthens the reputation of NCHC as the Employer of Choice internally and externally, and re-recruits, empowers, engages, and inspires all NCHC employees to be their best.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage the end-to-end development of HR communications materials including but not limited to videos, talking points, presentations, and more. This includes writing and content development, partnering with creative resources as needed, and coordinating approvals and distribution of these communications.
Working across brand and functional teams to create stories that highlight the role HR plays in driving the business forward.
Identify and create stories and initiatives that inspire employees to be at their best and maintain their health and well-being.
Drive logistics and execution of HR communications activities and tactics, including events, town halls, virtual connects & cross-function meetings.
Have a pulse on current and emerging employee communication trends, interests, and technologies to continuously optimize and execute best-in-class engagement plans.
Maintain the team’s HR communications calendar, timelines and metrics, report out regularly to help the team measure success of various campaigns, and support preparing for senior leadership.
Support efforts to encourage a team culture across the Global Corporate Affairs function, enabling communicators to lead, innovate and deliver world-class employee communication and engagement capabilities for maximum impact among employees and other target audiences.
Qualifications
Required Competencies:
A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree is required.
Proven expertise in communications with at least 3 years’ experience within a corporate environment or public relations agency is required; experience in employee engagement and/or internal communication highly preferred; a focus on communication within the consumer-packaged goods industry is preferred.
A go-getter and team player with a high attention to detail and the ability to prioritize and take ownership. Able to shift gears and acclimate quickly. Strong multi-tasking skills and the aptitude to effectively motivate the team and internal partners to meet deadlines are crucial. Willingness to think beyond the tried and true to devise innovative ways to communicate, while aligning with goals and objectives.
Exceptional writing and communication skills are required and driving results through influence is required.
Demonstrate a global mentality with knowledge, appreciation, and awareness of the Consumer Health sector, operating flexibly from a global, regional and local level.
Results driven strategic problem solver; ability to identify and prioritize key opportunities and implement change expediently.
Ability to interact effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization and work independently.
Knowledge of SharePoint, Microsoft Office 365 or similar digital content development and management platforms.
Skilled in working with emerging technology (i.e., blogs, podcasting, etc.).
Preferred Competencies:
Experience with industry-related, internal, and intranet communication experience is preferred.
Change Management experience is preferred
Strong knowledge of intranets and web-based communications, including news content and delivery, and social media tools preferred.
Business Mindset: Use business and market insights to support, advise on, and identify solutions.
Trusted Business Partner: Builds and maintains trusted partnerships with internal stakeholders across functions and leverages influential communication to frame analytical insights and develop fact-based business strategies focused on value creation.
Digital Champion/Technology Advocate: Embrace and practice a digital mindset through encouraging and role modelling the use of technology.
Agility and Innovation: Leverages an agile and creative mindset to adapt to change and drive innovative value creation, continuous process improvement, and proactive learning through new technology, processes, and people.
