Our Kennesaw campus is located at 1000 Chastain Road NW, Kennesaw, GA 30144. Our Marietta campus is located at 1100 South Marietta Parkway, Marietta, GA 30060.
Department Information
Michael J. Coles College of Business is fully accredited by AACSB-International. The Department of Information Systems and Security consists of 25+ full-time faculty members. Our department offers undergraduate BBA degrees in Information Systems, Information Security and Assurance, and supports the BS and MS in Cybersecurity. At the graduate level, the department offers MS in Information Systems, MS in Healthcare Management and Informatics, and a Ph.D. program. Job Summary
Kennesaw State University is now accepting applications for a nine-month, tenure track Assistant Professor of Information Systems faculty position in the Department of Information Systems and Security that begins August 2022.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities for this position include: teaching courses at the undergraduate and graduate level in FinTech and Information Systems (e.g., digital payments, blockchain for business, emerging FinTech technologies, application development, business analytics, etc.), research and scholarship in the area of expertise, and professional service to the Department, College, and University.
Responsibilities will include a 3/3 teaching load, scholarship, and service. The teaching load will focus on FinTech related curriculum but can include classes in the area of Information Systems. The teaching load can be reduced based on research publications productivity.
Required Qualifications
An earned doctorate, or a foreign equivalent, in Information Systems or closely related area.
Preferred Qualifications
Applicants with an earned doctorate, or a foreign equivalent, from an AACSB accredited college/school and a record of research accomplishments, teaching experience, and collegiality will be given preference.
