Job Position: HR Generalist. Under the direction of the Director of People & Culture, the Human Resources Generalist works in close collaboration with the Human Resources team and company business leaders to implement Human Resources related projects and initiatives. This role has a significant focus on recruiting and talent acquisition projects and will also provide insight and solutions that add value to the company’s strategic objectives.
Responsibilities
The position is located at our Eagan office with one day a week required at our Goodhue Minnesota Location.
This position will support a team of approximately 15 people on site at our Eagan facility
This position will spend 70% of the time recruiting for all divisions.
35% of our workforce is Hispanic, so bilingual is preferred.
Work collaboratively with a People & Culture Team of Eight.
Recruitment:
Partner closely with hiring managers to identify each position’s requirements.
Coordinate and attend career fairs, either in-person or virtually.
Perform searches through social networks and portfolio sites to identify and interact with potential candidates.
Seek out referrals from internal and external networks for hard to fill roles.
Contact past applicants for new job opportunities.
Develop a network of potential candidates and industry professionals.
Identify future hiring needs and proactively source potential hires.
Measure and report on recruiting metrics such as source of hire and time-to-fill
Communicate updates to hiring managers, weekly, regarding their active positions.
Create pipelines of passive candidates through different networking avenues and community outreach.
Conduct qualification interviews to identify interest and qualifications of candidates, document accordingly and present qualified candidates to hiring managers.
Track candidate information in our ATS system (Bamboo HR).
Eagan Support
Support the day-to-day ins and outs of onboarding new employees, processing employee information changes, payroll changes, benefit questions, employee record collection for all new employees as needed throughout the year.
Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to leave, employee relations, payroll, and benefits, while mitigating legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance globally
Collaborate on building a flexible, remote, and inclusive culture by assisting in company-wide recruitment events
Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and innovative technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law; applies this knowledge to communicate changes in policy, practice, and resources to upper management.
Assist Director of People & Culture on additional projects both big and small

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources
SHRM-CP , PHR Certification or willing to obtain within 6 months
General knowledge of HR principles and practices, rules, regulations, trends, and developments.
Effective communication skills, with an ability to function and succeed in a collaborative environment.
Experience collaborating with managers on HR related matters.
Experience providing support to employees on various HR related topics.
Strong creative critical thinking skills with the ability to develop and recommend practical solutions.
Demonstrated ability to multi-task with a strong attention to detail.
Ability to manage situations with discretion, good judgement, and an appropriate sense of urgency.
General understanding employment laws.
Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality.
Prefer a minimum of 2+ years of full-life cycle recruiting experience with emphasis on sourcing and securing passive candidates.
Demonstrated proficiency at sourcing passive candidates through web searches and various job boards, LinkedIn, indeed, etc.
Hands-on experience with ATS systems
Familiarity with social networks, professional sites, and resume databases.
Excellent verbal, written, networking and persuasive communication skills.
Ability to positively present our company and open roles to potential candidates.
Excellent time-management skills with the ability to manage various open positions simultaneously
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Possess fluent bilingual language skills, Spanish preferred
A knowledge of electrical, photovoltaic (solar) construction and/or automation a plus.
Possess and maintain a valid driver’s license that represents a history of safe and competent driving.
Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check.
Physical Requirements
Must be able to sit, stand, kneel, stoop, walk, and sit for long periods of time.
Must be physically capable of lifting and carrying up to 20 lbs.
