The Department of Human Resources (DHR) seeks an energetic and resourceful administrative professional to join our team as a Recruiting Coordinator (HR Associate).
As a key member of the Talent Acquisition Team, the Recruiting Coordinator is responsible for administrative and technical support of recruitment processes. They provide high-level administrative support for the delivery of human resources services. This role will organize and support key elements of the selection process to include screening, testing, evaluating, and hiring talent across King County. They will also organize, prioritize, coordinate, and respond to a variety of work assignments, research, information requests, and creation of documents.
The ideal candidate likes to solve problems, enjoys working as part of a team, and jumps at the chance to work on projects. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals who look to expand their skills and learn about Human Resources (HR). This position is non-exempt from the provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act and is therefore overtime eligible. Employees are paid on a bi-weekly schedule, every other Thursday, comprising a 40-hour workweek, normally 8 a.m.-5 p.m., Monday through Friday. This position is represented by Teamsters Local 117 Professional & Technical and is classified as a Human Resource Associate; class code 2311100.

This recruitment is open to King County employees and the public and will be used to fill one Term Limited Temporary (TLT) or Special Duty Assignment (SDA). It is anticipated to extend through December 31, 2024.
Note: Special duty opportunities are open only to current King County career service and appointed employees who have completed their initial probation. Special duty applicants must have approval from their supervisor to accept an assignment. Current employees selected for special duty will be compensated based upon the provisions of the collective bargaining agreement or Coalition Labor Agreement for their base assignment.
