Summary:
As an Employee Relations Consultant on the HR Policy and Regulatory Compliance team, you will work provide consultation to stakeholders on policy interpretation and implementation to ensure compliance with local, state and federal laws and implement changes as needed.
Provides analysis, reporting, project or program management and/or consultation to leaders, peers, and talent partners. Responsibilities may vary to include: interpreting and applying emerging federal, state and local bills and initiatives as well as HR policies/practices, training facilitation, conducting market research and designing employee communications based on ER function/team. Administers, leads or provides an ER perspective on talent initiatives, programs, projects, and policies, with particular focus on equity, inclusivity and inspiring environments. Demonstrates consulting and influencing skillset to independently manage matters across multiple levels and globally.
Responsibilities:
Under minimal guidance, facilitates resolution of employee relations matters, diagnosing the significant and potential issues and next steps.
Influences, coaches, and solves problems to ensure consistent application, equity and fairness of policies, processes and procedures.
May provide guidance and/or lead debriefing process on escalated policy inquiries or concerns.
Provide insight and consultation on the employee experience, particularly focusing on equity, inclusivity and inspiring environments.
Applying risk management concepts, identifies potential legal and compliance exposure and effectively addresses through input, notification and/or escalation.
Continuously monitors situations to ensure resolution with minimal disruption to business operations.
May create communications related to employment matters and/or talent strategies, initiatives, or programs.
May lead or oversee projects, documents processes, gathering and analyses data, and presents results.
May develop or facilitate training.
May provide insight to support groups in planning, designing, and implementation of new ER programs or policies.
Analyze and interpret talent data to make recommendations for improvement.
Qualifications
Bachelor`s degree (preferably in Human Resources or Business Administration) or equivalent experience required, in addition to 3-4 years of relevant human resources experience, with particular experience in laws, regulations and case law pertaining to EEO
Solid deductive reasoning and sound recommendation experience
Proficient knowledge of HR policy, legislation, theory, and practice normally gained through progressive work experience
Solid analytical, written and oral communication skills
Proficient project management and program management skills
Must be able to influence others as well as work through others
Must be able to develop effective relationships with business leaders and talent partners and stakeholders
Must be able to manage multiple projects and priorities and make sound decisions quickly
Executive presence, ability to flex up to various levels in the organization
Experience in making presentations and in conducting training programs
Travel 10-15% for occasional conferences or meetings
