About Us
As the landlord for all facilities owned by Maricopa County, the Facilities Management Department is responsible for the planning, design, construction, maintenance, and operations of more than 200 facilities comprised of over 10 million square feet. Facilities Management is made up of a collaborative team that provides and performs various functions to meet the facility-related needs of all Maricopa County Departments. Our broad range of services includes various aspects of the ongoing operations and maintenance of all County-owned facilities, management of all facility projects, and in-house design services.

Working Conditions
The physical environment requires the employee to work both inside and outside in heat/cold, wet/humid, and dry/arid conditions. Position requires the need to regularly position self to install, repair, remodel, troubleshoot, and maintain all types of locks and components used by the County, which may include ascending and descending ladders, climbing stairs, kneeling, bending, stooping, crouching, crawling, lifting, carrying, pushing pulling, reaching and grasping including fine manipulation. The position may have exposure to various forms of hazardous energy sources relating to mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems. May work in jail environments and confined areas with high noise levels, dim lighting, dust or smoke, potential contagious diseases, and traumatic subject matter. Frequently required to use personal protective equipment to prevent exposure to hazardous materials. This position may require a rotating on-call or standby schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays. The position may require some overtime and weekends for special program events. Working environments include adult and juvenile detention facilities, medical facilities, public health, forensics, courts, and related justice facilities
