Serve as an advisor and consultant in almost every facet of the Employee Life Cycle, from Onboarding to Career Development to Employee Relations, LOA to Culture/Engagement, and Offboarding.
Proactively identify opportunities and assess improvements to the employee experience and partner with management to develop and implement innovative and lasting solutions.
Build credibility and trust among employees. Resolve employee concerns through compassion, a systematic approach, clear documentation and follow-through.
Partner with the business to build engaged, high-performing teams.
Consult and advise on succession planning, talent reviews and driving the annual merit planning cycle.

In partnership with leaders, develop workforce plans that ensure our success for the long term.
The ability to be comfortable with high volume workload and not be afraid to “roll up your sleeves”.
Provide sound consultation and tactical execution to optimize people leadership, structure, process, and culture with the goal of achieving exceptional business results.

HR business partner skills including the ability to establish credibility with business clients, and be courageous with coaching and delivering feedback.
Leverage data to make decisions to support business objectives while identifying gaps, trends, and implementing process improvements: Learn, iterate, and improve.
Provide support analyzing and designing a competitive compensation and benefits structure that attracts and retains talent.
Manage employee benefit programs including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, leave of absence, wellness, and retirement plans.
Recommend innovative employee benefit programs by evaluating and optimizing employee understanding and acceptance, while considering costs, regulatory requirements, and competitive advantages.
Ensure benefit programs comply with the provisions of local, state, federal, and statutory regulations (e.g. ACA, COBRA, HIPAA, ERISA, OSHA, etc.) and support data gathering and reporting for required government filings.
Support Senior HRBP with additional duties and scope as needed.
Although this is a remote opportunity the ability to travel as the business needs is a requirement for this position.

What you will bring:
A bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 5 years of human resource experience in a complex business environment OR equivalent work experience.
Prior experience providing support in a start-up, rapid growth, and/or retail environment.
Prior experience supporting a multi-state organization that includes hourly and salaried team members.
Understands internal and external stakeholder requirements, expectations, and needs. Balances the interests of multiple stakeholders.
Situational Adaptability: Observes situational and group dynamics and selects the best-fit approach.
Has a track record of exceeding goals successfully. Pushes self and helps others achieve results regardless of objectives and setbacks.
You are self-directed, thrive in ambiguous situations, and love to take charge of complex tasks with minimal direction.
You are excited about the opportunity to work in a fast-paced start-up environment, and to be a key partner as we scale the company.
Highly adept with technology, and quick to learn new technologies.
Demonstrated strength in technical writing
You have excellent written, verbal communication, and interpersonal skills.
Project management, self-management, and multi-tasking skills.
