We’re looking for someone to be our inaugural People and Culture Director whose impactful and innovative approach, strong interpersonal skills, and ability to connect with other humans can lead us in our transition from “managers do HR the best they can with consultant help” to a streamlined in-house system that includes guidance and support for all parts of the HR lifecycle.
Each Maybelle Center employee is required to receive COVID-19 vaccine unless a qualified religious or medical exception is obtained.
The hiring range for this full-time position is $90,000-$105,000, commensurate with experience and skills. Maybelle Center offers excellent benefits, including health, dental, vision insurance; EAP program, 401k, paid parking or transit, and paid time off.
To be considered for the role above, please visit the “Hiring” page at http://www.AffirmaConsultancy.com to submit your resume and cover letter for consideration.
We believe every person is irreplaceable and has something remarkable to share with others. Since 1991, Maybelle Center has built a more vibrant Portland by building relationships with residents in more than 30 buildings in the downtown area who face barriers to meaningful connection – so more of us can experience a healthy, connected life and contribute to a thriving Portland.
The Maybelle Community includes an assisted living facility, affordable apartments, and a wide range of activities – home visits, community room, arts programming, community choir, memorials, and spiritual support – which help reduce loneliness and help people feel valued, cared for, and supported to live their most independent and fulfilling lives.
Our belief is that everyone has innate worth is not just a marketing slogan. All of us have strengths, talents, and skills that we can share with others, including our employees. Our People and Culture Director will lead the charge in seeing and reflecting employees’ strengths, fostering their growth, and encouraging their use in ways that further our mission and contribute to a healthier community.
Maybelle Center strives to be a diverse, equitable, and inclusive community, where power and resources are shared and distributed in an equitable and inclusive way. To achieve this, the Center is committed to seeking out inequities and correcting them wherever they are found. To us, inclusion means that the voices, viewpoints, and life experiences of those in our community, including members, residents, staff, volunteers, and board will be incorporated into our discussions, and reflected in our decisions, actions, and policies.
