Position description
The HR Business Operations division has an opportunity for an HR Manager based on the Jacksonville, Florida campus.
Responsible for day-to-day HR Business Operations in Florida and oversight of Advisor team.
Collaborate with staff, leaders, and other HR partners to execute operational goals, ensure effective and efficient operations, maintain high standards for service and operational excellence, apply best practices, and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
Drives workforce planning initiatives and partners with CRL, HR Business Advisors, Recruiters, CoEs, and broader client centric team to identify site and organizational trends related to growth and future skillset needs.
Provide direct support to customers as assigned.
Uses data, expertise, and persuasion to drive decisions that are in alignment with Mayo Clinic values, recognizing site and cultural differences.
Partners with Talent Acquisition to optimize local and national recruitment strategies.
Support/Manage site related projects as assigned, I.e., PERT.
Provide coverage for site HR leader in meetings/events as needed
The Manager – Human Resources is primarily responsible for the management of staff, HR programs, and overall functioning of the work area/unit. The purpose of the role is to lead HR operations, programs and teams. This may include general oversight of assigned team(s) or programs, workforce planning, staff guidance, workload analysis, recruitment of well qualified staff, training, mentorship and performance management. The Manager – Human Resources will serve as an expert/SME and is a resource to the department regarding complex matters. Partners with other CoE leaders to execute operational goals, ensures effective and efficient operations, maintains high standards for service and operational excellence, and identifies opportunities for continuous improvement. Partners with customers and stakeholders to meet business needs. Leverages team member’s strength, capabilities, and experiences to deliver on strategic priorities. Creates innovative solutions using a high degree of ingenuity, creativity, and advanced tools, technologies, and techniques. Monitors resource allocations and takes corrective measures to ensure alignment with annual budget and operating plan. Uses effective project management skills and may lead large projects. Maintains knowledge of trends and HR issues, applies best practice principles to support CoE, and provides subject matter expertise and leadership where assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree with three years of relevant experience required. Operational experience must include demonstrated leadership and management capabilities; strong decision making, agility, ability to work collaboratively with others as part of an integrated team.
Additional qualifications
Master’s degree or PHD and relevant certification preferred. Strong communication, coaching, facilitation, relationship building, team building, organization skills are preferred.
