Responsibilities
Maintains an understanding of benefits and serves as the first point of contact on benefits related questions for both in office and remote employees.
Verify employment and perform background checks
Provides answers to common questions from employees about standard policies, benefits, hiring processes, etc.; refers more complex questions as necessary.
Coordinate workers’ compensation filings
Coordinate FMLA, state statutory, and other leaves of absence.
Work with the benefit team to process employee changes and provide education and resources for employees
Maintain HRIS (Workday) data entry for new hires, terminations, and all other employee changes
Maintains accurate and up-to-date human resource records, files, and documentation.
Assist the People Team with HRIS reports (Workday)
Provides administrative support and reporting for the US People Team
Enhance employee engagement and productivity through company-wide initiatives
Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
Plan and coordinate special events like organization-wide meetings, team meetings, employee recognition events, holiday parties, and retirement celebrations
Participates in the open enrollment process and audits monthly benefits invoices.
Qualifications
A minimum of 1-2 years’ experience in human resources and/or equivalent coursework or degree.
Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.
Positive attitude and willingness to assist wherever needed.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
