Job Summary
The primary purpose of the Program Director for Education and Talent (EDI Office) will include providing leadership, planning and coordination of EDI education and talent programs to drive overall business goals. This position is responsible for assisting appropriate stakeholders in developing strategies, identifying and aligning initiatives that leverage best practices, ensure appropriate reporting methodologies, performance evaluation techniques and key performance metrics. This role is responsible for the delivery and overall success of EDI education and talent efforts in collaboration with stakeholders. The program director will guide the development of all supporting EDI pillars. They must have a thorough knowledge of program management principles, an analytical mindset and great problem-solving abilities.Job Description

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Master’s Degree required in Org Psychology/Development/Leadership, I/O Psychology, HR or related discipline; Doctorate Degree preferred

Licenses/Certifications: SPHR or SHRM-SCP preferred; Change management certification preferred; Coaching certification preferred

Experience / Knowledge / Skills:

• Seven (7) years of leadership and program management experience in a fast-paced and growth-oriented environment; Successful implementation in Equity, Diversity and Inclusion efforts; thorough knowledge of EEO regulations; Must include two (2) years experience directly leading teams; healthcare experience preferred
• High level knowledge and experience with building, implementing and evaluating EDI education and talent strategic programs in organizations with diverse populations (e.g. disciplines, positions, demgraphics, etc.) to drive business success.
• Experience building and executing pre-professional talent programs required.
• Experience with various pedagogies and strategies for curriculum design required.
• Ability to collaborate and work successfully across all levels of the organization, affiliated partners, and community representatives, demonstrating excellent communication, organizational and leadership skills
• Ability to perform complex project tasks seamlessly, often navigating between high-level strategy and helping with supporting tasks as needed to promote your team’s success
• Ensures that EDI education and talent plans and priorities are aligned and coordinated across different areas of the organization
• Attention to detail and a high level of efficiency
• High level of comfort and knowledge with data collection and analytics, inclusive of reporting and budgeting; uses available data to inform decisions and strategy recommendations

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Proactively represents Memorial Hermann Health System by facilitating EDI education and talent program awareness. Provides consultation and coaching to key stakeholders and leadership teams on EDI priorities, capabilities, offering and best practices.
• Responsible for planning, organizing and execution of EDI education and talent programs (e.g. clinical and non-clinical education, mentorship and pre-professional programs). Provides leadership and maximizes the effectiveness of these programs.
• Manages and leads the design of EDI education and talent programs and projects, often in collaboration with other key internal stakeholders, such as Organizational Development & Learning (OD&L) and Talent Acquisition.
• Participates in key council(s) to foster support and the advancement of EDI goals.
• Identifies and designs solutions, new processes and tools for the EDI education and talent programs, applying best practices and an understanding of business needs. This includes but is not limited to setting goals, structure and EDI programs.
• Serves as a change facilitator, contributing to the design and implementation of communication plans for change management and collaborating across multidisciplinary teams to gain buy-in from business leadership to ensure adoption.
• Plans internal EDI education and talent programs from start to completion involving deadlines, milestones and processes. Provides feedback and resolves complex problems.
• Devises evaluation strategies to monitor performance through key performance indicators (KPIs) and determines the need for improvements. Continuously evaluates program effectiveness by reviewing qualitative data.
• Discovers ways to enhance efficiency and productivity of EDI education and talent strategies.
• Keeps appropriate stakeholders informed with detailed and accurate reports or presentations.
• Works with subject matter experts to research and develop policies and services. Selects, recommends and applies appropriate analytics methodologies and techniques to execute operational objectives.
• Develops and implements the appropriate measures/tools to ensure EDI education and talent programs are continuously evaluated. Manages the implementation of the EDI education and talent strategy across all business/functional areas and engages relevant stakeholders to inform strategies.
