Responsibilities:
Environmental, Health, Safety and Security
Assist in planning and implementing environmental and safety policies, procedures and programs in compliance with local, state, and federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) rules and regulations.
Lead the facility to safety achievements with a focus on behavioral initiatives ensuring all established metrics are tracked.
Maintain & complete data entry and analysis as necessary for Environmental Health, Safety and Security metrics and information. (OPUS, Assessment Scorecards, Training matrix, Critical 15 and Learning Teams)
Identify areas of improvement in all areas of environmental, safety, health and security and create plans to execute the improvements.
Provide training to associates and contractors on a variety of Environmental Health, Safety and Security topics.
Inspect organization facilities to detect existing or potential accident and health hazards, determines corrective or preventative measures where indicated, and follows up to ensure measures have been implemented.
Assist with the investigation of safety incidents and injuries and cooperate in the preparation of material and evidence for organization use in hearings, lawsuits, and insurance investigations.
Compile data necessary to aid in submitting environmental, safety and security reporting to regulatory agencies.
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion. This includes hearing testing (Maintenance only) information, medical files, and personnel records as needed, etc.
Maintain all environmental, safety and security records to include, but not limited to regulatory and training requirements.
Ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
Maintain chemical inventory & update MSDS online system with current Safety Data Sheets (SDS)
Follow and enforce all safety policies and procedures and provide feedback to associates on corrective actions necessary through weekly Safety Alerts.
Perform other duties as required.
Human Resources
Assist in employee investigations and addressing employee concerns.
Assist with hourly recruitment and liaise with temporary agencies.
Assist with coordination of hiring, orientations and transfer processes for hourly employees.
Assist with the accurate recording for tracking in HR systems. (Workday and Kronos)
Act as a secondary point of contact for associates and visitors, directing them to the appropriate resource.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree is preferred
In lieu of degree, five years Environmental Health, Safety and Security experience to include investigations, training and process development
Human Resource experience preferred
Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft suite, HR Information Systems (Workday, Kronos)
Superior attention to detail and demonstrated commitment to ensuring accuracy in work product
Must be business oriented with excellent interactive skills to interface with individuals at all levels of the organization
Demonstrated success handling multiple priorities working in a fast-paced environment dealing with fluctuating priorities and minimum supervision
Group facilitation and presentation skills
Outstanding communication skills, both oral and written
Must have the flexibility to work extended hours to support plant events and activities on off-shifts as needed
Additional Information
Hiring Pay Range: $70,000 – $104,500
