Type of Position: Direct hire
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with senior leadership to understand the organization’s goals and strategy related to staffing, recruiting, and retention.
Plan, lead, develop, coordinate, and implement policies, processes, training, initiatives, and surveys to support the organization’s human resource compliance and strategy needs.
Administer or oversee the administration of compensation, 401K plan, benefits, and leave, disciplinary matters, disputes & investigations, performance & talent management, productivity, recognition, and morale, occupational health & safety, and training & development.
Identify staffing and recruiting needs; develop and execute best practices for hiring and talent management.
Ensure all department heads are providing constructive and timely performance evaluations to direct reports.
Handle discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy.
Resolve employee problems and expediting solutions.
Maintain and update policies handbook.
Monitor and ensure the organizations compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; review and modify policies and practices to maintain compliance.
Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law; apply this knowledge to communicate changes in policy, practice, and resources to upper management.
Develop and implement departmental budget.
Facilitate professional development, training, and certification activities for HR staff.
Perform other duties as required.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business, Communication, or related field required.
5+ years’ experience as a HR Generalist/Manager- standalone experience required.
Experience creating and implementing HR policies and procedures.
Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
