Myticas Consulting is currently seeking a Benefits Manager for a remote contract position with our direct client.

Job Description:
Manages projects and day-to-day work in the design, administration, communications, and compliance of benefit programs in the US, including medical, dental, prescription drug, well-being, life, disability.
Candidate will leverage his/her expertise to manage projects and works across any or all plans listed above, this may include creating presentations and doing financial analysis.
Analyze benefit programs design, pricing, financing, vendors as necessary to ensure programs are efficient, market competitive, compliant with regulatory requirements (e.g., ACA, ADA, COBRA, ERISA, FMLA, HIPAA, ITA etc.), and aligned to the organization’s strategic objectives.
Manage or participate in renewals for all U.S. Health and Welfare programs, including the marketing of insured benefits as appropriate.
Leads team to implement U.S. annual open enrollment process with outsourced vendor, including developing communications and presentation, system testing of open enrollment system and materials’.
Serves as Tier 3 resources for employee benefits issue resolution (the highest most complex tier); partners with HR Service delivery and vendors on issue resolution.
Interacts with – and may manage the work of – several US vendors, such as administrators and carriers, to ensure work is completed and employee experience is up to standards.
May collaboratively manage work of one departmental employee.
Creates and contributes to development of benefits communications and presentation materials to ensure employee understanding and appreciation of benefit programs, often in collaboration with HR Communications, HR Service Delivery, and external communication partners.
Project manage Global Well-being initiatives – collaborating with several global benefits managers.
May participate in various other departmental activities such as health and safety related policies and practices or due diligence in acquisitions and mergers as required.
Experience:
8 to 10+ years Corporate Benefits or Benefits consulting experience of U.S. Health and Welfare programs for large, multinational corporations.
Strong business and financial acumen required, including knowledge of actuarial concepts.
Able to structure and analyze data, develop insights, and formulate an aligned approach and plan.
Deep knowledge of government regulations and requirements (e.g., filing and compliance requirements) with established network of resources to remain current on market changes.
Superior written and verbal communication skills.
Demonstrates initiative and drive; self-motivated, organized, and detail oriented; proven capability to thoughtfully plan and simultaneously manage multiple projects.
Creative and analytical problem-solving skills.
Comfortable in a fast-paced, global work environment.
Flexible and approachable work style; comfortable interacting with employees at all levels of the organization.
Operates with the highest integrity, appropriately manages information of a highly confidential nature.
Strong MS Office skills required, particularly PowerPoint and Excel.
