New Story is searching for a qualified University Relations and Talent Acquisition Business Partner to lead the charge in developing key relationships and organizing hiring events with universities and colleges to help the schools and clinics we support to fill key roles within their organizations, including teachers, licensed professional, and leadership roles. The University Relations and Talent Acquisition Business Partner will coordinate and expand college and university partnerships to enhance our recruiting practices and develop a network of fresh talent. This position can be remote but requires up to 50-70% travel to various universities, recruiting sites, and offices. The position requires you to live in the Northeast US (PA, MD, VA, OH, NJ, NY or MA) and requires 50-70% travel.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Identify and connect with regionally appropriate colleges and universities with programs in special education, speech/language pathology, behavior analysis, and other relevant programs that support the employment needs of our education and clinical services organizations.
Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders at universities and colleges that have programs which support student and alumni placement in the various roles within our educational and clinical businesses.
Organize and/or attend hiring events at universities and colleges to promote our employment brand, vacancies, and develop a pipeline of talent.
Coordinate student internship placements with our schools and businesses to meet the ongoing organizational needs.
Manage end-to-end recruitment process for both university and intern hiring, ensuring a smooth and positive candidate experience
Proactively conduct targeted searches and candidate screenings for top talent at our focus Universities. Screen, interview, and assess candidates and develop pipelines of fresh talent for every region we serve.
Provide increased support to programs with critical recruitment needs. Collaborate with business leaders and hiring managers to understand hiring needs and goals, and develop, implement, and execute a custom hiring strategy.
Develop, analyze and report regularly on University Relation metrics. Create a master college recruiting spreadsheet to reflect college presence, job postings, offers, candidate interests, career fair information, attendees and costs.
Make recommendations for new and innovative university recruiting practices.
Assist in the development and provide feedback related to recruitment materials.
Travel to various universities across the nation, as well as schools and office locations and various recruiting sites, regularly. (Over 50% travel)
WORK SKILLS:
Must possess strong customer and relationship management skills with the ability to quickly connect with and maintain relationships with various stakeholders
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and documentation
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office products, including Word and Excel
Must demonstrate strong listening and communication skills
Advanced time management and analytical skills
EXPERIENCE:
5-7 years recruiting experience required, 7-10 years experience preferred
Experience connecting with College and University personnel and programs required
EDUCATION:
Bachelors degree in Human Relations, Business Administration, or related required
Masters degree in Human Relations, Communications, Business Administration, or related preferred
SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP Certification preferred
