Essential Duties:
- Acts as a lead partner with the business in identifying solutions, managing employee relations, and overseeing the day to day management of the employee relation function.
- Ensure process achievements and promote customer focus throughout the organization.
- Function as an emergency First Responder per WVSM.
- Conducts regular meetings with respective business units and assigned team to ensure understanding of priorities and align efforts.
- Manages team and all day to day employee relations issues in consideration of culture, business, policies, and applicable laws.
- Works collaboratively with other Lead and Business Partners to provide recommendation of process and policy efficiencies.
- Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks, and ensuring regulatory compliance. Partners with the legal department as needed/required.
- Analyzes trends and metrics in partnership with the HR group to develop solutions, programs, and policies.
- Manages and resolves complex employee relations issues. Conducts effective, thorough, and objective investigations.
- Provides day-to-day performance management guidance to leaders (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, corrective actions).
- Works closely with leaders and associates to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.
- Manages transferees with expatriate assignments and related HR matters.
- Provides guidance and input on business unit restructures, workforce planning and succession planning.
- Works with Talent Development to identify training needs for business units and individual leader coaching needs.
- Works with Total Rewards for decision and assistance in leave cases as necessary.
- Participates in evaluation and monitoring of training programs to ensure success. Follows up to ensure training objectives are met.
- Supports discharge and term activity as needed; Prepare documentation regarding terminations, investigations; conducts exit interviews.
- Ensure compliance with Federal, State, and Local employment laws.
- Maintain HR information, payroll and timekeeping programs, benefits, and employment records.
- Assist in preparing and facilitates the process to obtain and renew work related visas.
- Assists Managers with development, review, and update of job descriptions.
- Represent organization at personnel-related hearings and investigations.
- Understand/comply with quality system and emergency management policy/procedures.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures which include IATF, ISO, ISMS, and Safety related policies.

Qualifications:
Academic Skills/Knowledge/Experience:
High school diploma or GED
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
Minimum of 7 years of experience in a diverse Human Resources role
Minimum of 3 years of experience in a strategic business role
Minimum of 3 years in a supervisory role preferred
Good understanding of basic business concepts
Basic accounting understanding
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to comprehend, interpret, and apply the appropriate sections of applicable laws, guidelines, regulations, ordinances, and policies.
Ability to acquire a thorough understanding of the organization’s hierarchy, jobs, qualifications, compensation practices, and the administrative practices related to those factors.
Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including compensation practices, organizational diagnosis, diversity, performance management, and federal and state respective employment laws.
Ability to handle confidential information
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Proven ability to adapt to changing needs in fast paced office
Ability to cope with conflict and stressful situations Possess mental faculties consistent with performing at least the minimum essential functions of the job
