Are you ready to put your management experience to work at Northrop Grumman? If so, our Defense Systems sector needs you to join our team as our C-130 Operations Supervisor and provide objective-oriented direction and work assignment to non-exempt team members utilizing management guidelines & general policies of the Manufacturing segment of the C-130 program/function. This position is located in Lake Charles, LA.
You will use your vast aviation operations knowledge to assist the Program Manager in assuring the success of the C-130 Program. As part of your day to day duties as Operations Manager you will be responsible for the following:
1. Planning and program performance addressing cost, schedule, technical performance, and quality of a work package, subsystem, or related group of work packages in a MRO environment.
2. Provide coaching, set goals, approve time, and provide overall guidance to a team of employees.
3. Oversees a team and task assigned to the organizational group performed by non-exempt employees.
4. Establish a team environment and directs a training system to provide technical knowledge for the safe maintenance, repair, and operation of aircraft, aircraft systems, ground equipment, tools, test equipment, stores and facilities, according to established procedures.
5. May analyze current operating problems and future operating requirements to identify training needs.

Basic Qualifications:
1. A Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 5 years of Aviation Operations/Maintenance experience in at least one of the following: in repair, installing trouble shooting of aircraft systems, flight controls, Avionics, or Structures. An additional 4 yrs of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of the degree requirement.
2. Ability to obtain/maintain a secret DoD security clearance.
3. Ability to be subject to a variety of physical conditions and able to wear respirator or other safety gear
4. Ability to compose materials such as detailed reports, work‐related manuals, publications
5. Ability to resolve technical or operational problems in a MRO environment.
6. Knowledge to perform tasks such as fuel system fueling and defueling, avionics, engine operations, APU operations and flight control systems.
7. Ability to work flexible hours for assigned shift
Preferred Qualifications:
1. C-130 Aircraft Experience
2. A&P license.
3. 7 or more years of experience with aircraft systems, avionics, repair, operations, maintenance.
