Nova (k) Associates Hiring for VP Human Resources at Houston, TX Full Time

We are a growing company and we need a skilled HR professional to build our under-developed HR department for the benefit of the company and our team members. We are professional services firm with a largely remote workforce. We plan to double from roughly 200 employees to 400 employees in the next three years.

The Position:

• Assess current HR needs and HR staff and develop short-term and long-term plan to build HR staff to match our growth
• Manage entire HR function including payroll, benefits, compliance, performance management, recruiting and retention
• Develop and periodically review HR policies, procedures and documentation
• Serve as strategic advisor and partner to leadership team
• Build and maintain an effective recruiting and talent acquisition pipeline and process
• Develop and manage HR budget

Desired Work Experience:

• Twelve or more years of progressive, well-rounded HR experience
• Five of more years managing HR staff
• HR experience in fast growing business
• At least three years of HR experience in a closely held business with 200-1000 employees
• HR experience in a professional environment (such as accounting, attorneys or consultants) preferred
• At least three years of experience with remote employees

• Deep knowledge of US federal and state employment law

Educational Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, human resources or related degree
• Master’s degree in HR strongly preferred
• HR certifications strongly preferred

Compensation and Benefits:

• Base Salary $175,000 – $225,000 with annual bonus range of 0%-30% of compensation

Work Location/Hours:

• Work from home
• Must work from USA and be authorized to work for any US employer
• Approximately 4 – 6 times per year travel to home office or company training. No international travel.
• We will supply all necessary computer equipment.
