OCI Hospitality Hiring for Human Resources Representative at Remote Full Time

We are seeking an HR Representative that will provide excellent service and support to our corporate and hotel teams with the administration of human resources policies and programs including compliance, recruitment, onboarding, training, career development, team member relations, compensation, and benefits. This position is eligible for work from home flexibility and may require up to 25% travel.

Primary Responsibilities

• Provides administrative support related to recruiting, sourcing, onboarding, development, performance management, engagement, training, compensation, and benefits.
• Ensures hotels are in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, including EEO, FMLA, and FLSA.
• Provides regular training and coaching to managers on HR systems and processes.
• Updates and maintains HR systems and records and conducts regular system audits.
• Handles basic employee relations issues and problems.
• Supports management teams in culture initiatives, improving work relationships, building morale, and increasing productivity and retention.
• Assists with the background check screening process and determines eligibility for hire.
• Advises and informs employees of changes and developments related to insurance benefits including eligibility, coverage, and provisions.
• Assists in the maintenance of job descriptions for each position in the organization; ensures descriptions accurately reflect the work being performed by incumbents.
• Handles leave administration from the employee’s initial notice of the need for leave to the return to work. Facilitates other leave requests, which may include accommodation requests under the ADA.
• Advises managers and employees on the interaction of leave laws with paid time off, workers compensation, and short-term and long-term disability benefits.
• Provides technical support, troubleshooting, and guidance to HRIS users.
• Supports hotel compliance with all OCI Standards for Human Resources.
• Assists with HR reporting and ad hoc reporting as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management or related field or the equivalent in related work experience.
• Previous experience with recruitment and ATS systems is preferred but not required.
• Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage stressful situations with poise and finesse.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
