The HR Specialist is primarily responsible for recruiting, hiring, and onboarding all new hires to work within Ohana’s social service residential homes. This position is responsible for increasing the overall number of applications received for Direct Care Worker and Behavioral
Health Technician positions. This will include but not limited to posting and managing job descriptions on various hiring websites, sustaining, and creating relationships with existing and new referral sources, and working with the Ohana Media/Marketing team to create recruitment content.The HR Specialist will complete in-person interviews and identify appropriate work locations for each new hire. The HR Specialist will launch new hire onboarding in the people management system, Paylocity, and create new systems of efficiency for reducing the time it takes new hires to complete onboarding and begin working in a residential home. Specialist is the responsible point of contact for new hires up till they receive their first paycheck and then work with the HR Director to communicate any staffing concerns/challenges/issues.
The HR Specialist must be able to maintain the highest level of confidentiality. This position requires someone who can adhere to and represent the Ohana Core Values and Ohana
Pillars. This position fits within the Directors and Administrative ring of Ohana’s Target of
Success with the target focus of Operations.
