About our HR Generalists
Generalists serve as business partners with organization leadership, providing professional level HR support in the areas of workforce planning, compensation, learning and development, talent acquisition, performance management, policy and compliance. Generalists consult with departments by analyzing and recommending solutions to human resource issues; serves as a facilitator in change management within a fast-paced, dynamic environment; and supports the most important resource of the organization, our people.
Responsibilities Include:
Provide consultative advice to managers on operational issues impacting human resources with an understanding of the changing needs of the workforce, consideration of compliance and an understanding of the “big picture” of the organization. Fosters positive relationships through open communication and collaboration.
Strategically identify and address areas of opportunity with the organization through creatively problem solving and innovative solutions.
Facilitate communication across all levels of the organization, providing coaching, mediation, and regulatory compliance and litigation avoidance when needed. Provide professional consultation on policy interpretation, employee relations and disciplinary matters. Complete investigations, presenting recommendations and action plans to leaders. Review and approve corrective actions, improvement plans, conduct employee investigations and recommend outcomes and solutions. Participate in employee disciplinary meetings and terminations.
Conduct total reward assessments, including equity and market reviews, benefit education and management of the merit program.
Create and execute retention strategies, through collaboration with leadership, implementation of surveys and interviews, and data analytics.
Participate in the complete employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, hiring, and off-boarding.
Management of unemployment and workers compensation. Provides support in FMLA, ADA and Disability (STD & LTD).

Requires a bachelor’s degree and 2 years of experience in Human Resources or related area.
Ability to critically think, gather and interpret data and develop, recommend and implement solutions.
Demonstrate a high level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations, and ability to interact and communicate with individuals at all levels of the organization with poise, tact and diplomacy. Should be a positive team player.
Knowledge of a variety of computer software applications in word processing and spreadsheet software (MS Word, Excel).
Ability to provide continual attention to detail. Excellent customer service skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Knowledge of and ability to assess liability and apply risk management related to HR policies and procedures. Ability to manage employee records, information, and database.
Familiarity with Human Resources Information & Payroll System.
Working knowledge and application of HR law, policies, processes, metrics and supporting HR systems, including but not exclusive to HR.
Ability to work in a fast paced, changing environment.
Preferences: 4 years of experience as a Human Resources Generalist. PHR/SPHR or SHRM-C / SHRM-SCP certification
