Job Summary:
In this role you report to the Director, Human Resources as part of a small but mighty team! You will be responsible for supporting the HR Operations for Pallet and Square Peg Fabrication including HRIS Administration, Total Rewards Management including payroll, compensation, benefits selection, and administration. Your skills and expertise will evolve over time but will begin with the following responsibilities:
Duties/Responsibilities:
In the first three months you will:
Learn how we process payroll for Pallet and support integration into Paylocity.
Learn our benefit plans for each company and develop communication tools to educate our employees.
Learn how to manage enrollment and termination of our employees on our plans.
Learn about our compensation philosophy and work alongside the team managing the annual review process.
Become comfortable with our HRIS System – Paylocity and become an administrator on the system.
In the next three months you will:
Develop processes to provide meaningful reporting information for the business.
Lead the 6-month review process for the Pallet team.
Become a superuser on the Paylocity and support leveraging the system to become a valuable business tool.
Over the next year you will:
Lead the process for Annual benefit renewal.
Work with compensation consultants for benchmarking data.
Take a leadership role on HR Compliance by conducting self-audits and developing systems for ongoing best practices.
Maintain company policies management.
Be able to cross train and learn all work areas to increase your value to the company.
Be able to contribute thoughts and ideas for continuous improvement of HR Processes.
Support Job Analysis including writing and revising job descriptions and benchmarking roles.
Must have requirements for this role:
Ability to take and pass a pre-employment drug test and willingness to submit to regular randomized drug testing
Detail-oriented: this role is technical in nature; you need to be detail-oriented to be successful.
Great communication: being able to communicate effectively with employees and senior executives will support your success.
Being comfortable presenting programs to employee groups and members of senior management will be a part of this role.
Strong Ethics and Discretion: Because you will deal with confidential information, you must be a steward of ethics and discrete when it comes to handling sensitive information.
Be strong with numbers: numbers-orientation and being analytically inclined is a key for success in this role.

Education and Experience:
Required
Progressive experience in HR.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent skills and experience.
Payroll processing experience.
Bonus points for:
HR Certified – SHRM, S-PHR
Paylocity Experience
Physical Requirements:
You may be required to lift up to 10lbs occasionally
Physical Work Conditions
Wear safety attire or protective gear on occasion according to specific job requirements, steel toed shoes are required at times.
Office based role with a lot of sitting and occasional standing and walking.
May share workspace with others
