Pathrise (YC W18) connects job seekers across North America to world class industry mentorship and career coaching to help them land a new career. The program is free upfront and our customers pay us back when they’re hired.
Built around aligned incentives, we help build equity in the job search process by providing 1-on-1 mentorship, training, and a platform to uplift job seekers and ultimately, help them fulfill their hopes, ambitions, and livelihoods. We’ve already helped more than a thousand fellows land meaningful jobs, and helped them earn over $100M in salary.
In 2022 we raised our Series B and there is even more exciting growth on the horizon. That year we expanded from 6 to 14 industries, launched a tiered pricing system with differentiated product offerings, and much more.

The Role
We are looking for a flexible and detail oriented People Ops Coordinator with a knack for providing an amazing employee experience!
This is an exciting opportunity to support Pathrise’s human resources processes and facilitate a supportive, welcoming company culture for a mission-driven, series A company with over 80 employees and dozens of part-time mentors and specialists. The mission of the People Operations team is to retain top talent who drive business results by creating a workplace environment that unites employees around our mission and promotes employee flourishing.
Qualities we are looking for in our People Operations Coordinator:
- Proactive: You’re self motivated and have a founder mindset when it comes to tackling tasks
– Detail oriented: You cross your T’s and dot your I’s – nothing falls through the cracks with you!
- Event planning: You know how to plan seamless employee engagement events, such as virtual mixers and company retreats

Note: this is a 1099 consultant role
Qualifications
- At least 6 months of experience with people ops and/or event planning
- Available for a minimum of 10 hours a week
- Ability to build rapport with employees and foster a welcoming, inclusive environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Impeccable attention to detail
Responsibilities
- Assist the Head of People Ops with event planning
- Provide additional support to the People Operations and Recruiting team by assisting with company surveys, performance reviews, and other people operations initiatives
- Assist with people team compliance standards and practices
- Support people data reporting and analytics
- Help create an incredible employee experience by assisting with onboarding and offboarding tasks
- Process ongoing employee data changes in HRIS and other people systems to ensure our people data is always top notch

- Compensation is $28/hr. Up to $30/hr for those located in SF Bay Area or NYC.
$28 – $30 an hour

This role is open only to individuals eligible to work in the US for any employer without visa sponsorship.
