Founding Teachers and Leaders
Peninsula School for Boys–a new non-profit independent middle school for boys that opened in the fall of 2021–is looking for faculty to teach and lead for the 2022-23 school year. This is a once-in-a-teaching-lifetime opportunity to create and be a part of a mission-centered and innovative program, forge deep connections with students and their families, and build personal and professional skills by being on the ground oor of a new school.
As we are expanding–adding a grade level and class sections–we will be hiring 2-3 new teachers and leaders for the 2022-23 school year. We are looking for Math, Science, History, English/Language Arts, Spanish, and physical education teachers (most likely people who could do a combination of those) and educational leaders/administrators to flesh out our leadership team. We are inspired by people who can teach and lead and by what the right people can bring to our growing school.

The curriculum is designed to address the unique academic, developmental, and social/emotional needs of boys during their middle school years. We rmly believe that our community needs a school invested in supporting boys on their journey to becoming exceptional men.
We are located on the Notre Dame de Namur University campus in Belmont, but families and the students come from all parts of the Peninsula. We commit to having a student body that accurately reflects San Mateo County, and the school is dedicating 20% of its revenue to tuition assistance, which is almost double that of its competitor independent schools.
The founding team has unique expertise in building independent, single-sex schools from scratch, and is endlessly passionate about bringing this model to the current boys and future men of the community. In short, we get stu done—and done really well (and we have fun while doing it).
Salary
The salary is competitive with other Peninsula schools.
