Job Summary
The Human Resources Coordinator’s primary responsibility is to assist in administering and implementing human resources programs and policies including talent acquisition, employee retention and relations, and change management initiatives.
-Reviews, researches, and recommends modifications to Personnel Policies, Procedures, and Forms and other HR documents.
-Ensures all regulatory updates are communicated and advises changes to policies in order to remain compliant with all local, state and federal laws, and regulations.
-Ensures all “controlled” documents (policies, job descriptions) are managed appropriately. Maintains and practices a high level of professional interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations and documentation.
-Manages personnel files (electronic or hard copy) in compliance with regulatory requirements.
-Updates organizational chart and updates job descriptions as directed by management.
-Assists with dissemination and providing summary training of policies and modifications. Ensures all new staff members are trained in the location, accessibility of the policies and associated forms and briefly summarizes policy criteria during on-boarding orientation. Ensures all new and existing staff sign appropriate forms for documentation of acceptance. Provides training as needed for new employees on communication systems, including network, timekeeping, and telephone and voice mail.
-Answers employee questions about human resources policies and procedures.
-Manages benefits to the extent of providing information to staff and research benefit options for improvements when opportunities arise. Ensures new staff members are provided benefit information as they become eligible, reviews enrollment forms for accuracy and coordinates enrollment with third-party administrator.
-Tracks and updates personnel criteria such as start dates, emergency contacts birthdates, etc.
-Assists in recruitment efforts in soliciting and posting for positions and ensuring dissemination of qualified applicants to managers.
-Manages all applications for accessibility of candidates when the needs arise. Sends acceptance or declination letters as needed. Performs background checks and Drug-Free Workplace tests and ensures the correct process for hiring is followed and results in hiring qualified staff. Ensures all non-compete agreements are signed by applicants where needed.
-Talent Acquisition to include:
a) On-campus event planning and management.
b) Candidate interview coordination.
c) Candidate care and communication throughout the recruitment process.
-All other duties as assigned or as needed by the organization.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $14.00 – $26.00 per hour
